|
Good production from catcher Tarquino Benítez helped the Trinidad Tabacaleros topple the Manzanillo Martenos, 4-3. Benítez was 2-3 with a triple and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for the Tabacaleros. The winning pitcher was Enrique Báez. He tossed 92 pitches over 6 innings, allowing 3 runs on 7 hits. The Tabacaleros raised their record to 17-22.
Benítez contributed in the bottom of the fourth. With runners on 2nd and 3rd, he hit a 2-run triple. It was one at-bat among others that helped Trinidad get the win.
