The Mayabeque Alacranes beat the Nueva Gerona Marmoleros, 5-4, at Estadio de Nueva Gerona. Marco Antonio Murillo, who is tied for 4th in the TOCC in triples with 5, starred for Mayabeque. He was 3 for 3 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Nehemías Saldaña collected save number 7. The win lifted the Mayabeque record to 23-18.

Bayamón, Puerto Rico-born Adelio Rojas came through in the clutch. In the top of the seventh, with the bases loaded and the Alacranes trailing 2-1, he hit a 2-run single to center to put Mayabeque on top.

"Both teams played hard," said Mayabeque manager Pascual Mireles.
