Banderas Lifts Alacranes to 12-4 Triumph
The Mayabeque Alacranes defeated the Artemisa Rojos, 12-4. Doing his part was right fielder Felipe Banderas, who was 4-4 with a double, 3 singles, and a walk, while scoring 3 and driving in 4. Zacarías Jiménez picked up the win, improving his season record to 5-4. He struck out 5 in 5.2 innings. Their 27-21 record puts the Alacranes second in the Torneo Occidental La Habana.

A key moment came with one out in the bottom of the first. That's when Banderas hit a cutter from Raúl Samudio for a 2-run single, putting Mayabeque up, 3-0.

"It doesn't matter if you're 10 games over .500 or 10 games under, it feels good to win," Banderas told the Mayabeque Gazette.
