The Las Tunas Escultores got a rain-soaked win over the Holguin Pericos.

Las Tunas pitcher Martín Morales did his part in helping his team beat the Holguin Pericos, 3-2. The right-hander kept opposing batters from doing too much damage. Morales, now 4-2, was the winner. In 8 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 4, walking 5, and allowing 2 runs.

With scoring opportunities rare, the Escultores had to cash in when they had the chance. One such opportunity presented itself in the bottom of the first, when catcher Mateo Saiz hit a run-scoring single. The single came off Gonzalo García and made the score 3-0, Escultores. Saiz went 1 for 4.

"There's never a lack of effort in our clubhouse. We're willing to do the little things to get the win," Morales told the Las Tunas Chronicle.

The Escultores improved to 27-25.
