The Las Tunas Escultores picked up a win at Estadio de los Escultores, knocking off the Holguin Pericos, 6-5. On the mound for Las Tunas was right-hander Constancio Hernández. He played a key role in the triumph. Today's win puts Las Tunas at 39-27, while Holguin falls to 35-28.

Seamus Armstrong drove in one run for Las Tunas. The three-time Ilustrísimo (LBPC) winner had a key at-bat in the bottom of the eighth. With one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, he broke a 5-5 tie with a run-scoring ground out off Meliteo Lugo. It was his 11th RBI of the season.

"They had a good approach," Holguin skipper Alcides Hernández said of the opposition. "Hats off to them."
