The Camaguey Tinajones downed the Las Tunas Escultores, 2-1, at Parque de Camaguey. Stellar pitching by Marcelo Yáñez had a lot to do with it. The right-hander, who is tied for 10th in the TORI in complete games with 3, handcuffed his opponent all game. The second-place Tinajones have a record of 30-35.

With two out in the bottom of the fourth, Manuel Rosales put Camaguey in front, 2-0, with a 2-run single. The Tinajones went on to win the ballgame.

Camaguey manager Leopoldo González commended his team for delivering "maximum effort."
