In a high-scoring contest between Bayamo and Las Tunas, left fielder Humberto Dimas was a difference-maker. Dimas, who finished 5th in the TOCC in batting average with .325 in 1902, distinguished himself in the 10-9 Bayamo win. He was 2-3 with a double and 2 walks, while scoring 2 and driving in 2. Roano Hermosillo collected save number 2.

Evaristo Flores hit a 2-run double off Héctor Pérez in the bottom of the first, which put the Rafagas in front, 2-1. In addition to the double, Flores had 1 single and 1 walk, while going 2 for 4.
