Riding the 4-hit performance of the 21-year old first baseman Propercio Mena, the Santiago de Cuba Soneros stopped the Holguin Pericos, 8-1. Santiago de Cuba's record now stands at 35-37, placing them second in the Torneo Oriental Santiago de Cuba.
