The home squad pulled out a thrilling walk-off win.

The Holguin Pericos got a superb performance from pitcher Scannell Taylor, but the Las Tunas Escultores still won the game, 5-4. Taylor came in in relief and pitched to 28 batters. Las Tunas reliever Diego Silva picked up the win, upping his record to 4-2. Scannell Taylor absorbed the loss.

Tomás Acevedo was the walk-off hero for Las Tunas. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Escultores left fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

Acevedo attributed the win to "an all-around good team performance."

The Escultores sit in first place in the Torneo Oriental Bayamo with a record of 66-61.
