Rosario Raps Camaguey for 5 Hits
|
Even as a kid, Lino Rosario said his coaches told him the key to hitting was making contact, and letting everything else flow from there. At Parque de Camaguey, Rosario showed how well he learned that lesson.
The 20-year-old third baseman had 5 hits in 5 at-bats for the Las Tunas Escultores, helping his team knock off the Camaguey Tinajones by a score of 6-2.
"They always said, just keep your eye on the ball, don't overswing, make contact and you never know what will happen," he said. "That's all I did."
Lino Rosario doubled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th and singled in the 8th.
Thus far this year, Rosario has hit .320 with 1 home run and 48 RBIs.
