|
Nayarit pitcher Emanuel Ruiz had a large part in his team subduing the Nuevo Laredo Colibris, 3-2. The opposition could never mount much of a rally against the left-hander. Ruiz got the win, improving to 3-2. He gave up 6 hits and walked 3 over 9 innings. He allowed 2 runs. Nayarit has a record of 9-12.
Dermot Brough, who finished 2nd in the LN in triples with 24 in 1911, aided the Nayarit cause with a run-scoring ground out in the bottom of the third. For the game, the second baseman was 1 for 4.
