Tijuana Gets 6-2 Win
Tijuana picked up a win at Parque de los Mariachis, bumping off the Nayarit Mariachis, 6-2. Pitcher Juan Sánchez was a major reason the Matadores emerged victorious. The winner was Sánchez. He threw 6.0 innings of 5-hit ball. The loser was Miguel Castañeda. Earning his 1st save of the year was José Contreras.

The Matadores got an important contribution from second baseman Justo Ramírez, who in the top of the first hit a 2-2 fastball to center for a 2-run triple. It was his 1st triple of the season and put the Matadores ahead, 3-0.

"I think we did a good job of looking for pitches we wanted to hit and put good swings on them," said Tijuana skipper Marcos Cisneros.

The triumph makes Tijuana 9-18.
