Calaveras Win with Late Rally
People outside the ballpark no doubt heard the roar of the crowd as the winning run crossed the plate.

Michoacan pitcher Ambrosi Polo did his part in helping his team defeat the Acapulco Aztecas, 3-2. The opposition could never get too much going against the right-hander. Reliever Gobrías Ruiz picked up the win. His record improves to 4-2. Eduardo Villarreal took the loss.

A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. With the game tied in the bottom of the 12th, an error by the Aztecas allowed the Calaveras to score the winning run.

Polo told a Michoacan Times reporter that he felt "euphoric" after the win.

The Calaveras, now 20-14, know that wins in May count the same as wins in September.
