|
Good production from right fielder Faustino Villegas helped the Acapulco Aztecas topple the Chetumal Mayas, 7-5. Villegas was 2-3 with 2 singles and a walk for the Aztecas. Caleb Major picked up the win, lifting his record to 5-3 on the season. He struck out 3 and walked 6 in 5.2 innings, while yielding 4 runs. Chetumal is in the throes of a long losing streak, which is now 9 games.
With Acapulco leading 4-3 in the bottom of the fifth, José Andino hit a 2-run single off Chetumal pitcher Enrique Yáñez. It put the Aztecas ahead 6-3.
