Chacales in Free Fall, Lose 8th Straight
|
The Guanajuato Libertadores gave their fans something to talk about with a thrilling, walk-off win.
In a tight contest between the Guanajuato Libertadores and the Sonora Chacales, Adán Acosta was the determining factor. The Guanajuato right-hander sparkled in his team's 3-2 win. Acosta yielded 2 runs over 10 innings to notch the win. He scattered 9 hits, walked 2, and struck out 3. His record improves to 6-5.
The Libertadores nabbed the win, in part because of pinch hitter Marcial Díaz. In the bottom of the tenth, he delivered the game-winning run-scoring single.
Sonora manager Ademar Pascual, after yet another defeat, said: "Guys need to step up. Pronto."
With the victory, the Libertadores record stands at 27-27.
