|
Hidalgo starter Federico Mireles pitched well against the Acapulco Aztecas at Parque de Acapulco. The right-hander led his team to a win, 4-1. Mireles, now 6-6, was the winner. In 8.2 innings, he gave up 7 hits, while striking out 2, walking 2, and allowing 1 run. The triumph makes Hidalgo 20-40.
Hidalgo grabbed the momentum in the top of the fifth, when Mireles hit a 2-run double off Nerón Rodríguez. His 1st double of the season put the Cornicos out in front, 2-0.
"In baseball, you have your ups and downs," said Acapulco manager Al Dwight. "You just try to stay level-headed the whole time."
