The Hidalgo Cornicos took on the Michoacan Calaveras at Campo Municipal de Morelia.

The Hidalgo Cornicos rode a solid performance from 36-year-old starting pitcher Federico Mireles to a win, beating the Michoacan Calaveras, 6-2, at Campo Municipal de Morelia. The last-place Cornicos hiked their record to 28-52.

Hidalgo used the clutch hitting of Hernán Soriano to capture the win. The second baseman drilled a 2-run double in the top of the sixth inning to give the Cornicos the lead, 3-2. For the game, Soriano had 1 single and 1 double in 6 at-bats.

Mireles told a Hidalgo Observer reporter that he was "delighted" with the win.
