Medrano Deals Chetumal 3-1 Setback
The Hidalgo Cornicos converted a terrific effort from starter Draco Medrano into a win over the Chetumal Mayas at Estadio Maya. The Cornicos won the game by a final score of 3-1. The 9th-place Cornicos improved to 38-46.

Medrano, a native of Ponce, Puerto Rico, was dealing all game. He kept Chetumal hitters off-balance, while giving the Cornicos 9 quality innings. Medrano threw 128 pitches, allowing 1 hit and striking out 2.

"We didn't string enough hits together to win the game," said tight-lipped Chetumal manager Andrés García. "Obviously."
