The Oaxaca Zapotecos got a superb performance from pitcher Teobaldo Romero, but the Campeche Corsarios still won the game, 6-3. Romero threw 7.0 innings of 5-hit ball. Campeche reliever Manuel Nevárez picked up the win, upping his record to 3-3. Tafari Mungai absorbed the loss. The 4th-place Corsarios bumped their record to 50-36.
It could have been a different outcome for Campeche, had it not been for Gabek Bina, the two-time All-Star . Bina contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put Campeche up, 4-3.
"Winning never gets old," said Bina.
