José Piñeda of the Michoacan Calaveras overwhelmed the Chetumal Mayas and walked off the mound with a complete-game shutout. He blanked them, 2-0, on 5 hits with a total of 4 strikeouts and 1 walk.

"José was on quite a roll," Michoacan manager Pablo Sánchez said. "He gets great late movement and he doesn't give in to the hitters."
