Clutch Hitting Delivers Win for Vigias
Baseball fans saw a good contest between the Veracruz Vigias and Chiapas Quetzales.

The Veracruz Vigias picked up a win at Parque de los Quetzales, knocking off the Chiapas Quetzales, 4-2. Starting pitcher Sebastián Ramírez played a key role in the triumph. The second-place Vigias improved to 59-39.

Veracruz used the timely hitting of Agapito Mendoza to seize the win. The catcher stroked a 2-run single in the top of the 12th inning to put the Vigias on top, 4-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"Sebastián pitched his heart out," said Veracruz manager Steve Cuff.
