The rain came, as predicted, but the Acapulco Aztecas and Michoacan Calaveras were able to complete their ballgame.
The Acapulco Aztecas knocked off the Michoacan Calaveras, 6-1, in Sur action at Parque de Acapulco. Acapulco pitcher and Ireland, native Manny Smith had an outstanding performance. The 8th-place Aztecas improved to 48-53.
In the bottom of the 3rd, Acapulco took the lead on a 2-run single by Faustino Villegas. At the time, the Aztecas were trailing 1-0, but Villegas's hit with two outs against Michoacan pitcher Aimar González put them in front, 2-1.
Said losing manager Pablo Sánchez: "The list goes on and on of things we just flat out didn't do."
