Win Goes to Cerveceros in Tight Contest
Despite a great performance by Ciudad Juarez center fielder Sebastián Cárdenas, the Monterrey Cerveceros defeated the Nortenos by the score of 5-4 at Parque de Monterrey. Cárdenas went 5 for 5 with a triple, 2 doubles, and 2 singles, while scoring 3 times. The winner in relief was Belasco Ortiz. He is now 3-9. The left-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits in 2.2 innings. The 4th-place Cerveceros sport a record of 64-54.

The Cerveceros relied on shortstop Eduino Aguado for the game-winning hit. And, in the bottom of the tenth, he delivered, hitting a run-scoring single to seal the deal.

"The crowd was raucous," said Aguado.
