The Hidalgo Cornicos topped the Oaxaca Zapotecos, 7-2, in Sur action at Jardines de Pachuca. The game was highlighted by the performance of Hidalgo shortstop Augurio Rodríguez. José López got the win, improving to 6-12. He worked 6 innings, giving up 2 runs on 6 hits, while striking out 0 and walking 4. By defeating Oaxaca, the 11th-place Cornicos improved to 46-74.
Azim Isakov contributed to the Hidalgo win. The 23-year old third baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the bottom of the third. For the game, Isakov was 2 for 4 with a double.
