Ladislao Esquerra pitched a near no-hitter in leading Chiapas to a 4-0 triumph over the Michoacan Calaveras. The Quetzales improved to 61-59.

It was an impressive turn from the legendarily hard-working Esquerra, who tallied 4 strikeouts in 8 innings while allowing just 1 hit. Esquerra, who is on pace to win 18 games this season, goes to 16-6 on the year with 108 strikeouts.
