Nuevo Laredo Rallies for 3-1 Victory
The Coahuila Carboneros went down to defeat to Francisco Martínez and his Nuevo Laredo teammates. The final score was 3-1, in favor of the Colibris. Nuevo Laredo pitcher Horacio González got the win. He's now 6-5. Ben Downie was tagged with the loss. The Colibris, at 67-56, sit in third place in the Norte.

Héctor Sánchez's at-bat in the bottom of the fifth inning was a big one for Nuevo Laredo. Coming to bat with one out, the bases loaded and Nuevo Laredo trailing 1-0, the pinch hitter drew a walk, driving in 1 run.

"Francisco is a gamer," said Nuevo Laredo manager Luis Estrada.
