Carboneros center fielder Bailey Ward left his mark on his team's 13-4 win over the Durango Alacranes. Ward was 3-5 with a triple and 2 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 2 for Coahuila in the contest. The second-place Carboneros are now 69-54, the Alacranes 54-68.

The Carboneros benefited from a costly error in the top of the fifth. With William Brown at bat and Coahuila leading 8-0, the Durango miscue allowed Coahuila to plate 2 and take the lead, 10-0.

"Being able to contribute to a win is always a great feeling," Brown told the Coahuila Times.
