Toluca starter Palamedes Serrano pitched well against the Acapulco Aztecas at La Salchichera. The right-hander led his team to a win, 5-1. Abdón Martínez earned the save, his 11th. The 6th-place Chorizos improved to 65-58.

The Chorizos picked up the win with a combination of good hitting and good pitching.

"A confident pitcher is a dangerous thing," said Toluca manager Santiago Ferra. "That's what Palamedes is right now."
