Tijuana picked up a win at Estadio de Tijuana, bumping off the Guanajuato Libertadores, 4-2. Pitcher Julián Saldaña was a major reason the Matadores emerged victorious. The Matadores are now 52-74.

Luis Gómez cracked a home run off Adán Acosta in the bottom of the eighth. His grand slam blast put the Matadores on top, 4-1. In all, Gómez had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.

"It feels good to get this one," Gómez told the Tijuana Herald.
