Toluca and Puebla duked it out and the Chorizos came out victorious.

The Toluca Chorizos picked up a win at Estadio Municipal de Puebla, knocking off the Puebla Mosqueteros, 3-1. Starting pitcher Palamedes Serrano was a big reason why. Serrano got the win, improving to 15-8. He gave up 5 hits and walked 0 over 6 innings. He allowed 1 run.

Toluca used a well-timed hit by Balbino Cruz to capture the win. The catcher socked a run-scoring double in the top of the sixth inning to put the Chorizos ahead, 3-1. Though it was his only hit in 2 at-bats, it was important.

"If you chase it, you need to get it," said Toluca skipper Santiago Ferra.

Toluca is now 67-59.
