Baseball fans saw a good contest between the Nuevo Laredo Colibris and Durango Alacranes.

Nuevo Laredo shortstop Deaglán Harris contributed significantly to his team's 6-4 win over the Durango Alacranes. Harris, who finished 5th in the LN in runs with 74 in 1906, went 4 for 5 with 1 run scored to lead the offensive attack for the Colibris. Jairo Hernández earned the win for Nuevo Laredo. He lasted 7 innings, allowing 4 runs on 7 hits, while striking out 2. With the win, he raised his record to 11-5.

Had Adriel Rodríguez not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 3rd, Rodríguez hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 5-4, in favor of the Colibris.

Harris told a Nuevo Laredo Chronicle reporter that he was "delighted" with the win.

The Colibris now own a record of 71-57.
