Corsarios Win, Spilling Trovadores, 6-4
|
The Campeche Corsarios topped the Merida Trovadores, 6-4, with shortstop Justo Márquez playing a big role. Márquez went 3-4 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for the Corsarios in the win. Mórsimo Becerril recorded his 3rd save for Campeche. Campeche is now 81-49, Merida 73-56.
Márquez had a big hit for Campeche with one out in the top of the fifth. With Campeche leading 2-1, Márquez hit a run-scoring double. It was his 9th double of the season and put the Corsarios up, 3-1.
"We'll kick back tonight, then get set for the next one," Márquez said.
