Not everyone stuck through the 66-minute rain delay, but those who did went home happy.

Derby Rams starter Heliodoro Hernández turned in a top-notch performance against the Coventry Motors at Derby Stadium. The result was a win for the Rams, 5-1. At 31-19, the Rams find themselves in first place in the Baseball Federation of England & Wales English Baseball Championship.

Hernández threw well for Derby, thwarting the Coventry offense. The right-hander tossed 86 pitches over 7 innings. He allowed just 1 run on 1 hit.

"Heliodoro set the tone," said Stephen Withers, the Rams manager.
