Aberystwyth Dragons starter Kian Sells turned in a top-notch performance against the Swansea Copper Lords at Dragons Stadium. The result was a win for the Dragons, 4-1. Constancio Hernández collected save number 2. The Copper Lords fall to 11-14 and continue their sputtering start to the 1913 season.
Eddie Russell, who is tied for 4th in the BFE&W in total bases with 48, chipped in a 2-run single for Aberystwyth in the bottom of the third. For the game, the third baseman had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 3 runs batted in.
"I told our guys, 'Runs don't score by themselves,'" said Russell. "You need someone to get on base and someone to drive them in."
