Fans were not deterred by the threat of rain. They came to see their hometown Dundee Websters take on the Inverness Thistles.

The Dundee Websters could not turn a fine performance from pitcher Jorge González into a win. Instead, the Inverness Thistles prevailed, 4-1. González threw 7.1 innings of 4-hit ball. The winning pitcher was 24-year old right-handed pitcher Boanerges Urías. He tossed 94 pitches over 7 innings, allowing 1 run on 11 hits.

Inverness used a well-timed hit by Stiofan Crawford to capture the win. The shortstop socked a 2-run double in the top of the fifth inning to put the Thistles ahead, 2-0. Though it was his only hit in 3 at-bats, it was important.

"Winning is not something we take for granted," Crawford said.

Inverness is now 10-25, Dundee 9-30.
