Claymores Win, Spilling Shipwrights, 7-5

Soggy conditions did not keep Edinburgh and Glasgow from playing their scheduled game.
The Edinburgh Claymores stopped the Glasgow Shipwrights, 7-5, at Shipwrights Stadium. The Claymores got a big game from Tomás Felipe, who was 2 for 4 with a home run. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4. Bernard Hoff picked up the save for Edinburgh, his 1st of the year.
Felipe contributed a big hit, a grand slam home run, for Edinburgh in the top of the sixth. With his team trailing 3-0, Felipe took a sinker from Juan Ortiz and stroked the home run to right. His 1st home run of the season allowed the Claymores to leap in front, 4-3.
"I keep on showing up every day and trying to put up good at-bats and find good pitches to hit," said Felipe.
Edinburgh is now 25-13.
