Nicanor Sifuentes, who is tied for 7th in the BFE&W in innings pitched with 79.2, propelled his team to victory over the Coventry Motors. The final score was 5-0, Sheffield. Sheffield, at 24-16, holds down first place in the Baseball Federation of England & Wales English Baseball Championship.

Sheffield used a well-timed hit by Hermenegildo Valenzuela to capture the win. The second baseman socked a 2-run double in the top of the first inning to put the Talons ahead, 2-0. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.

"The most important thing is that we won," Valenzuela said.
