Stevedores Deal Arcadians 7-2 Defeat
Newport registered a win at Ballpark of Cardiff by beating the Cardiff Arcadians, 7-2. Pitcher Gareth Cummings was one reason why the Stevedores triumphed. The Stevedores are now 13-38.

Newport used a clutch at-bat from Radomir Petrousek to capture the win. The second baseman hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Stevedores ahead, 3-2. It was his lone hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

Cummings called the win "a lesson in teamwork."
