Granite 1B Cano goes 4-for-4 in Win
The 3-RBI night of first baseman Martín Cano, who is tied for 8th in the BFS&I in home runs with 9, helped the Aberdeen Granite triumph, 9-6, over the Edinburgh Claymores. Fionnbár Mackenzie, credited with the win, is now 4-3. He allowed 6 runs on 12 hits in 9 innings. Aberdeen is now 20-35, while Edinburgh is 20-37.

The Claymores had been locked in a 6-6 tie with the Granite going into the bottom of the sixth inning. That changed quickly when the 23-year old shortstop Kyle Black came to the plate. Black hit a run-scoring triple on a 0-1 sinker from Edinburgh hurler Spencer Beaupre. It was Black's 1st triple of the year.

"I like winning," Black told the Aberdeen News. "I may joke around, but when it comes down to it, winning is the most important thing."
