Copper Lords Use Late-Game Magic to Beat Druids, 10-7
The Swansea Copper Lords reigned over the Wrexham Druids in damp conditions.

The Swansea Copper Lords topped the Wrexham Druids, 10-7, in Baseball Federation of England & Wales action at Druids Park. The game was highlighted by the performance of Swansea first baseman Anthony Tipping. The winner in relief was Perseo Saldaña. He is now 1-0. The left-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits in 3.2 innings.

Swansea used the clutch hitting of Howard Robinson to capture the win. The third baseman drilled a run-scoring double in the top of the ninth inning to give the Copper Lords the lead, 8-7. For the game, Robinson had 1 single and 1 double in 5 at-bats.

"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Tipping. "And not try to do too much."
