Both teams had their chances, but the Aberystwyth Dragons eventually prevailed.

A 4-RBI performance from the 31-year old left fielder Roberto Morales helped the Aberystwyth Dragons beat the Newport Stevedores, 8-7. The win went to Adam Rees in relief. His record improves to 5-6. Gareth Cummings took the loss.

In the top of the seventh, the Dragons grabbed the lead when Morales hit his 19th home run of the season. The grand slam home run off Gareth Cummings made it 8-5, Aberystwyth.

"It feels good to get this one," Morales told the Aberystwyth Gazette.

The Dragons now have a record of 51-53 with the win over Newport.
