Baseball fans saw a good contest between the Wrexham Druids and Aberystwyth Dragons.

The Wrexham Druids picked up a win at Druids Park, dropping the Aberystwyth Dragons, 5-3. Carlos Arredondo, who is tied for 10th in the BFE&W with a 7.4 K/9 rate, was the difference-maker. In 7.2 innings, Arredondo surrendered 9 hits, while striking out 6 and walking 1. He allowed 3 runs.

With a runner on 2nd and two out in the bottom of the sixth inning, first baseman Omar Barrantes delivered big for the Druids. Wrexham was trailing 3-1 when he belted a 2-run home run.

Barrantes told a Wrexham Chronicle reporter that he was "very happy" with the win.

The Druids saw their record improve to 57-62.
