Inverness Fields was the site of an exciting ballgame between the Inverness Thistles and Edinburgh Claymores.

Despite a great performance by Edinburgh first baseman Phil Colgan, the Inverness Thistles defeated the Claymores by the score of 6-5 at Inverness Fields. Colgan was 4-4 with 4 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Inverness pitcher Epifanio Ramírez got the win, upping his record to 2-5. Marius Capisizu got the loss. Jobst Klais, who is tied for 3rd in the BFS&I in saves with 13, earned the save for Inverness.

Amílcar González took Edinburgh hurler Marius Capisizu deep in the bottom of the sixth. His 3-run home run put the Thistles on top, 6-3. In all, González had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.

"Everyone's kind of edgy right now," said losing manager Ben Jones, "but nothing a couple of wins wouldn't cure."

The Thistles improved their record to 44-75 with the win over Edinburgh.
