Blas Excels, But Druids Win
The Wrexham Druids weathered a fine game by Bangor third baseman Manuel Blas to upend the Bishops, 6-5, at Bishops Fields. Blas went 4 for 5 with a home run and 2 doubles, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Wrexham pitcher Daniel Mediavilla earned the win, hiking his record to 3-11. Delfín Romero suffered the loss. With this game in the books, Wrexham is 59-64, Bangor 81-40.

Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Procopio Roa? The 23-year old right fielder Roa stroked a 2-run single in the top of the ninth inning to put Wrexham up, 6-4. For the game, he was 2 for 4, including 1 double and 1 single.
