Edinburgh Wins, 14-4, Behind 2 de León Home Runs

Edinburgh and Dundee took Mother Nature's best shot and still managed to complete their ballgame.
The Edinburgh Claymores cruised to a win over the Dundee Websters, 14-4, at Claymores Stadium. Guarionex de León, who is tied for 5th in the BFS&I in home runs with 24, led the way, going 3-for-3 for Edinburgh. José Martínez was the winner. Over 9 innings, he yielded 4 runs on 9 hits, with 1 walk and 2 strikeouts.
With two out in the bottom of the fifth, Rolando Pérez put Edinburgh in front, 4-2, with a 2-run single. The Claymores went on to win the ballgame.
"Guarionex was ready to go. Big day for him," said Edinburgh manager Amílcar Gelada.
Edinburgh, at 57-58, sits in third place in the Baseball Federation of Scotland & Ireland Lig Ball-steidhe na h-Alba.
