It might have been a rain-shorted game, but the hometown crowd didn't seem to mind.

Behind an impressive start by Guillermo Cruz, Lachute beat Laval, 7-1. The win gives the Supercalandres a record of 4-3.

Samuel Fraser had a big 3-run home run for the Supercalandres in the bottom of the seventh inning. With Lachute leading 4-1 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he sized up a cutter from 21-year old left-handed pitcher Felipe Hernández and punished it. The result was his 4th home run of the season, which put the Supercalandres on top, 7-1.

"We've got guys willing to do what it takes to win," Cruz told the Lachute Chronicle.
