Pérez Stops Arabia Cold, 4-0 Monday, December 19th , 1910 The Arabia Sultans were almost helpless in their 4-0 loss to the Dominican Republic Quisqueyanos and hurler Tomás Pérez. Pérez kept the Sultans confused all game, spinning a 4-hit shutout. "Tip your hat to Pérez," Arabia manager Pascual Hernández said in a postgame interview. "He kept us off balance all night." The 27-year-old right-hander had 2 walks and 7 strikeouts in a strong performance. "It just happened to be one of those games where even when I made mistakes, they either fouled them off or someone would make a fine defensive play," Pérez said.
