Sisson Hits in 20 Straight Games Sunday, August 24th , 1913 Larry Sisson ran his hitting streak to 20 straight games at Recinto Deportivo de Holguin, when he collected 1 hit in 4 at-bats. The feat came, however, as the Holguin Pericos dropped the game, 7-4, to the Trinidad Tabacaleros. "Hey, the streak is great -- I hope it never ends," Sisson said later. "But I'm not happy to lose the game." Larry Sisson flied out in the 1st, grounded out in the 4th, singled in the 6th and grounded out in the 8th. Thus far this season in 114 games, Sisson is batting .347 with 1 home run, 68 RBIs and 59 runs scored. He has 153 hits in 441 at-bats. |
