Lucero Fires Shutout in Camaguey Victory Wednesday, August 27th , 1913 Camaguey Tinajones pitcher Egidio Lucero blanked the Guantanamo Cocoteros, 4-0, at Parque de Camaguey, tossing a 5-hitter while issuing 3 walks and collecting 3 strikeouts. After his sharp shutout performance, he shared credit with the rest of the club. "I was just locked in out there and some of that is due to having a catcher who has such a great feel for hitters," Lucero said. "I couldn't do what I did without all the guys out there today."
