Durango Downs Mexicali as Gómez Tosses 1-0 Shutout Thursday, June 5th , 1913 Durango Alacranes pitcher Ramón Gómez blanked the Mexicali Algodoneros, 1-0, at Estadio de Durango, tossing a 4-hitter while issuing 2 walks and collecting 2 strikeouts. After his sharp shutout performance, he shared credit with the rest of the club. "I was just locked in out there and some of that is due to having a catcher who has such a great feel for hitters," Gómez said. "I couldn't do what I did without all the guys out there today."
